five mile walk
i did it
without stopping
snuggles napped most of the way
i walked
breathed in and out
felt my stomach muscles align my backbone
i did it
snuggles and i did it
i'm losing weight
counting my calories
feeling
great
the numbers are dropping
the pants are starting to fit
relief
no more cortizone rushes from the worry
from the constraint
from the shame
i am meditating
i am taking time to myself
i am doing things that make me feel good
i am being selfish
it might ruffle some feathers
but i'm feeling great
humans adapt
don't we?
