dtv vent

DTV is great in theory. but, in reality when watching dtv (digital television) talent sounds like they're losing every other consonant to a bad cell phone connection. c'mon mofo's -- let's get this technology to WORK for us. not make people who choose not to shell out their hard earned money for cable companies lose the one last thing that is free; TV. yes, digital television in the states is mandatory as of mid june, 2009; http://www.dtv.gov/

my punishment for the legislators that passed this is
drun roll
make them watch one hour a day of digital television of their favorite terrestrial television show until they die.
that is if i was in charge of the legislators.
but, in reality i'm not.
i'm a domestic engineer.

really, i spend 15 minutes before my show is on to get the digital signal to WORK.
we've, already, had to exchange our digital television convertor at target.
when we spoke to the manager he said, "we don't carry those anymore".
you'll have to go to another store 30 minutes away to exchange it.
i told my twin flame, "he was, like, 10 years old!"
my twin flame is brilliant and FOUND our exact digital convertor box in the store.
we were able to exchange it.
when i spoke with our representative who exchanged it she explained she cannot get three major networks to work on hers at home.
c'mon -- who is our voice of the terrestrial television viewers?
if we were in the majority there would be a national outrage.
but, no -- we aren't mainstream -- so our voices don't feel heard.
it's bad business for these convertors to "semi-work".
the major networks are losing business.
we don't get to watch our shows.
advertisers commericials aren't being seen.
we don't have tivo's and dvr's.the irony is WE WATCH COMMERCIALS.
why don't they cater to our needs by re-programming their digital signals or repairing these poorly designed digital convertor boxes?
whining isn't going to solve anything.
i have real, concrete ideas, of how to make a change.
the people who changed the law should use digital convertor boxes at their homes and work place and executives in charge of the signals' release should be assigned this same assignment.
then, we terrestrial viewers will be able to watch our tv shows...AND commericals.
we will be the products advertised and change the world.
